Volunteers staged a puppet show for visitors from France as part of a West Lindsey twinning project.

Caistor Twinning Association organised the event to entertain 55 visitors of all ages from Savigne-l'Eveque in north-west France.

It was staged at a celebration dinner on the final evening of the exchange, left, and was organised by twinning association member Jacqui Wood and her husband Aiden.

"We thought up the puppet idea because there are no language barriers with this kind of entertainment," said Mrs Wood. "Every year we seek to find something interesting and entertaining for our visitors.

"The workshop gave people an opportunity to learn a new skill and encourages a stronger sense of community."
