Unmanned drones that fly missions over Afghanistan are to be operated from RAF Waddington for the first time.

The new 13 Reaper Squadron will be 'stood up' on Friday and operations are expected to begin in the next few weeks.

The squadron will double the UK Reaper intelligence and surveillance capability to 10 aircraft.

RAF crews will continue to fly UK Reaper aircraft remotely from the USA Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.

From peto011 "It is remarkable that you are more "bothered" about spell-checkers than you are about innocent women and children being blown up in our name" From the report "The squadron will double the UK Reaper intelligence and surveillance capability to 10 aircraft" Seems nobodys getting blown up.

It is remarkable that you are more "bothered" about spell-checkers than you are about innocent women and children being blown up in our name. Maybe the US should go after our Gary Mackinnon with a drone, as they can't get him extradited under terrorism laws? That would be equivalent of what they are doing in Northern Pakistan with our complicity
