Firefighters tackled a blaze at a church in Sutton-on-Sea after it was struck by lightning.
Emergency services were called to the Methodist Church on Station Road at 3:30pm.
It took four main jets and one hose reel to put out the fire which burned for several hours into the evening.
The roof of the building has suffered damage and engines from North Somercotes, Alford and Mablethorpe were called out with a hydraulic platform also attending from Skegness.
As a result of the incident the interior of the church has also suffered water damage.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have confirmed the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
