A Lincoln woman has triumphed over hopefuls from across the country at the UK Professional Pole Championships.
Annalisa Muresu, 30, who only had her first pole dancing lesson three years ago was picked from hundreds to perform at the final on Sunday.
Mrs Muresu was chosen as the winner in the Instructors category at the competition in Telford on December 1.
She said: "I was absolutely amazed to win, I couldn't believe it.
"I only went along to my first lesson because a friend talked me into it but after the first go I was hooked."
Mrs Muresu now teaches pole dancing classes and is hoping to encourage others to take up the activity.
She added: "There are a lot of people who think it is seedy and think of it like lap dancing but it's nothing like that.
"It's just dancing on a vertical pole."
Pole dancing champ Annalisa Muresu was congratulated on Facebook.
