A strange object has been spotted in the sky above Lincoln and captured on video.

A set of five lights in the shape of a pentagon have been recorded above the city at around 7:30pm on April 16.

The video was taken in uphill Lincoln in the direction of Lincoln Cathedral.

The person who took the video claimed they were absolutely not Chinese lanterns and has labelled the phenomenon a UFO.

Why worry about these five UFOs there are loads of them at the beginning of the clip. Sad that this is typical of the work of this 'digital reporter'.

Looks like the sort of small clouds that come from smoke, or the power stations, or left behind planes. Not very interesting.

Contrails dispersing perhaps. Not really lights in the sky just sunlight reflecting from different concentrations of water vapour ?

Sarcasm aside this girl didn't put this up as a joke. She genuinely would like a rational explanation. If you watch the footage it is clearly not clouds, balloons, Chinese lanterns or Mary poppins. She was filming the clouds and disn't notice the lights until she watched the footage back. If she had seen them at the time she would of paid them more attention. She's done no harm. She's only trying to find out what they are and she has nothing to gain from this. She is even wanting to stay anonymous. Little slack?

Wow, I was a sceptic until I saw this thoroughly convincing photo!!! Obviously a lack-of-news-day.
