X Factor star Ella Henderson has thanked her fans in Lincolnshire for the support that keeps her going.
The teenager from Tetney is the odds-on favourite to win this year's competition and stole the show last weekend with a stunning performance of Minnie Riperton's classic Loving You.
This weeked, she again wowed the judges with her version of Candi Staton's You've Got the Love.
But despite appearing calm on stage, she told the Echo that it is the encouragement she receives from her home county that helps her through the "nerve-wracking" X Factor experience.
"The support I've received, not just from my family and friends, but everyone in and around Tetney has been amazing," she said.
"My sister keeps telling me that wherever she goes people are stopping her on the street and pulling her to one side to give me support.
"My dad sends me all the links every day and I read all the newspapers online. It's crazy to see that.
"It makes me really happy and proud that everyone from my home is supporting me through it and it's given me a massive confidence boost.
"Without seeing that kind of support, I wouldn't feel as comfortable as I do."
Since first appearing on the X Factor back in August, Ella became an overnight sensation – and it is her mentor Tulisa who has been helping her and giving her advice with her new-found fame.
She said: "I'm learning new things every day and, being so young, it's not normal to be thrown into this kind of limelight.
"You can't really prepare yourself for anything but the advice from Tulisa has been to stay grounded and not let it all go over your head."Watch Ella Henderson's performance of Candi Staton's You've Got the Love from this week's live shows...Watch Ella Henderson's performance of Loving You on last week's show...
Our Ella has received support and praise from all manner of celebrities, from X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp to superstar icon Cher.
But this weekend, she got the seal of approval from one of the most successful artists on the planet – Adele.
The Someone Like You singer took to her Twitter account and pledged her support for 16-year-old Ella.
She said: "Ella Henderson on X Factor is absolutely incredible.
"I LOVE her!! Good luck xx"
The talented teenager had already been compared to Adele earlier that night by Louis Walsh, who complained that Tulisa was styling her too much like the chart-topping phenomenon.
But Tulisa hit back at those claims.
"She came on in her first audition with that same style," she said. "I actually let Ella style herself the way she wants to be styled."
