It's not surprising an accident happened here, it's a nightmare junction to exit/cross at. The double yellow lines allow cars to park far too close to the junction, restricting anyone's view pulling out onto Newark Road. The junction needs to be redesigned to improve safety, something I have been in touch with the local MP about. Hopefully this accident will encourage the powers that be to improve the junction, so the numbers of accidents that occur on the junction decreases.

This must have been one hell of an accident to cause the disruption of Newark Road being shut in both directions. I wish the lady well and hope she gets better soon.
