Lincoln City tore the formbook apart as a sensational attacking display secured a memorable 4-2 win at promotion-chasing Wrexham.

Nicky Nicolau set the ball rolling with a shot in the 20th minute when he latched onto Dan Gray's shot to fire beyond Andy Coughlin.

Jamie Taylor then made it 2-0 in the second half with a tremendous drive, before Conner Robinson's beautiful long range shot put the Imps in dreamland.

Jay Colbeck then reduced the deficit, but substitute Colin Larkin made it 4-1 with a classy finish.

A late strike from Joe Clarke was a consolation but it could not take the gloss off a sensational performance by David Holdsworth's side who are now out of the relegation zone.

Lincoln: Farman, Mills, Boyce, Smith, Taylor, Gray, Nicolau, Bore, Miller, Gilbert, Robinson

Subs: Power, Sheridan, Turner, Larkin, Fofana

Fishy - your comments are totally ridiculous and untrue. Everyone knows that it's the Lindum Group, not Barretts.

Great result , nice to see a more attacking formation and from what I have read, they actually played the ball on the floor to the smaller men up front amazing what result this achieved. Good to see three different forwards and one at ticking midfielder score should do there confidence the world of good. Congratulations to everyone involved on Saturday .

I still look for two sets of results on a Saturday, have Lincoln won and have Scunthorpe lost. I would guess most people do the same with Grimsby so when they play each other there is rightly a keen interest.

Thought we were no longer giving ultra importance to matches against Stags or Codheads. Beating them gets you no more points than beating Wrexham or Woking. Thought we had matured out of such nonsense, which will as an aside dump Fishy and his co-twerps.

Oh DanyImp - why did you reply to the 10 year old??? He even asked who would take the bait and you did (OK I know I just did too) If they are ignored, they will go away - simple
