Lincolnshire Police have arrested a 29-year-old local man in connection with suspicious incidents involving young people being approached in the Deepings.

Officers made the arrest this morning and the suspect is currently helping police with their enquiries.

Police are urging parents and young people to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the area.

They are also urging parents to continue giving their children common sense stranger danger advice.

The arrest follows three incidents in The Deepings area in the past few weeks.

A man approached an 11-year-old girl in Thackers Way in Market Deeping and tried to entice her into his van.

It happened at around 4.30pm on Wednesday, November 27.

The next day and also in Market Deeping, at around 3.10pm in Millfield Road, two men approached a 12-year-old boy and tried to entice him into their white van.

On the same day a 15-year-old girl felt that she was being followed by a man, this time in the Burchall Close area in Deeping St James.
