Fire crews from Lincoln South and Wragby fire station will swap fire hoses for buckets and sponges on March 22 as they take part in a national charity car wash.

The stations are just two of 13 across the county taking part in The National Car Wash, which raises cash to help serving and retired firefighters and their families.

So, drive into one of their stations and, in return for a donation, your vehicle will be returned with a brand-new sparkle.

Crews will be at the Wragby station from 10am to 4pm and at Lincoln South fire station after 9.30am.

This year Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue hope to top the £2,000 they raised from the charity car wash in 2013.
