One man remains in hospital after a double stabbing in Monson Street, off High Street, in Lincoln last night.
At around 5.30pm two men aged 20 and 33 were attacked by a man with a large kitchen knife.
The knife-man escaped by running down Monson Street and remains on the run.
He is described as around 25-years-old, of a slim build and approximately 5ft 7 inches tall.
Police say he was wearing a beanie type hat, dark trousers and a dark jacket.
Both of the men who were stabbed were taken to Lincoln County Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. One has since been discharged.
Monson Street was closed off until around 7pm.
Taxi drivers at Discount Cabs said one man entered the office to order a taxi to the hospital but emergency services were called.

James Newall, spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: "Investigations are ongoing and inquiries in the local area will continue.
"Police need witnesses to come forward."
