UPDATE: A man who was arrested in connection with a serious assault outside the Stumble Inn, Skegness, yesterday morning, has been charged.
Adam John Aldred, 43, of South Parade, Skegness, has been charged with possession of a weapon - a meat cleaver, GBH, attempted wounding, dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath.
He will appear before Boston Magistrates today, October 25.
Alexander James Ward, 31, of St Wilfrids Close, Alford, has been charged with common assault and bailed to appear before Skegness Magistrates on November 13.
The 21 year-old victim, who sustained the head injury, has been released from hospital and is recovering at home.
ORIGINAL STORY: Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that took place around 1am on Wednesday, October 24 outside the Stumble Inn on Lumley Road, in Skegness.
A 21-year-old Nottinghamshire man suffered a serious gash on his head and is currently being treated in Boston's Pilgrim Hospital. His condition is not considered life threatening.
A 43-year-old local man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon and is currently being interviewed at Skegness Police Station. A bladed weapon has been recovered.
