Lincolnshire is set for a three-month early summer heatwave starting in the second half of April.

Forecasters have predicted temperatures could reach up to the 30 degrees mark as soaring temperatures sweep the nation.

The Met Office has reported that temperatures will be above average across the end of April, May and June.

A bright start to spring did see temperatures in the UK hotter than Ibiza, hitting around the 20 degrees mark.

A week of dramatic Sahara smog has now cleared and the sun should arrive in the second half of the month.

Is this the same forecaster that promised us 90 days of snow back in October?
